Accelerated Workers' Compensation Program As a first step in helping to improve the Workers' Compensation system, The Workers' Compensation Training Consortium determined that the Accelerated Workers' Compensation Adjuster Training should be developed by two key industry organizations. Working in partnership, the Insurance Educational Association (IEA) and participants from the traditional education environment developed the Accelerated Workers' Compensation Program (AWCP), an accelerated training program for entry-level workers' compensation claims examiners. This program was developed exclusively in response to the Insurance Industry's urgent need for qualified entry level claims examiners.
This program provides detailed knowledge of how to manage a workers' compensation claims file from creation to final closure. Curriculum is presented in a "student centered" learning style, a blend of lecture, class discussion, case study review, and weekly examinations. Classes are offered in two formats: 1) Seven hours per day for 20 days, or 2) Evenings and every other Saturdays for 3 months. Successful graduates will earn the Accelerated Workers' Compensation Claims certificate (AWCC).
New Evening Class Format in Development
A modified Accelerated Workers' Compensation Claims Certificate Program (classes are held two nights per week with alternating Saturdays) is scheduled to begin in the future. For additional information, see the fact sheet at WCTC-September-Ad02.pdf, or NEWS & LINKS.

Some of these funds have been used to defray course development expense, however the remainder is available to registered students. All future contributions will be fully applied to the scholarship fund.
As funds are received, the total available amount will be posted on this page. For every $10,000 in contributions, tuition fees may be reduced as much as $400 per person (assuming a class size of 24). Contributing companies are listed on our Partners/Sponsors page.

To Challenge
Successful graduates can also challenge/take CA 13, successfully complete CA 14, receive the IEA WCCA certificate (CA 13 requirement waived) and be only two courses (CA 17 and CA 20) away from IEA's premier designation, Workers' Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP).
